The Nature Based Speech Therapist Training Course is a comprehensive course for practitioners who wish to integrate nature-based practices into their practice.
The course features:
4 On demand Video Modules that cover:
Research - The facts, science, and most up-to-date evidence as well as approaches to sharing the “why” of being nature based with clients and families.
Risk and Logistics - All the nitty gritty and practical details of setting up a nature-based speech therapy program or session.
Practice Principles - A deep dive into how we can make intentional choices in the ways that we shape our offering so that we are responsive to our clients, our contexts for practice, as well as our own values as practitioners, so that we can make a unique and meaningful offering
Therapy-in-action case studies - Specific examples of how different practitioners have implemented nature-based therapy successfully to offer you different reference points and inspiration for your offering
4 live group calls (approximately one hour each) — one after each module, where we'll come together to discuss what you've been learning and share insights from the activities. These group calls are a wonderful way to explore specific questions or curiosities you might have, as well as meet and connect with a cohort of practitioners to form a web of support that extends beyond the course
Activities between each module designed to build real competence in nature-based practice, including completing a dynamic risk assessment, creating your own therapy plan and mapping out your nature based offering. These activities are thoughtfully sequenced to help you scaffold and structure your offering, along with downloadable resources that cover a variety of themes through articles, videos and podcasts.
Extra downloads including reading lists with open-source articles, email templates, and therapy resources you can use straight away in your practice.
